Privacy policy
Last updated October 9, 2026
This policy explains what MasjidHQ collects on this website and in the MasjidHQ service, how we use it, and the choices you have.
This policy applies during MasjidHQ’s pilot. We’ll update it after legal review, and the date above will change.
The short version
- This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics.
- In the MasjidHQ service, each mosque controls its donors’ information. We process it only to run the service for that mosque.
- Card and bank details go to Stripe. We never see full card numbers.
- We never sell or rent personal information, or share it for advertising.
- Mosques can export all their data at any time and ask us to delete it.
Who we are
MasjidHQ makes software that mosques use to receive gifts, send receipts, and report to their boards. We are based in New Jersey, United States, and you can reach us at hello@masjidhq.net.
This website
This website, www.masjidhq.net, sets no cookies and runs no analytics, ads, or third-party scripts.
Our hosting provider, Vercel, processes technical information such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.
If you email us, we use your message and email address to reply, and we keep the conversation only as long as we need it to help you.
The MasjidHQ service
Mosques use MasjidHQ to manage their giving. Each mosque decides what information to collect about its donors and how to use it. We process that information for the mosque, to provide and support MasjidHQ.
What the service holds
- About donors: name, email address, preferred language, and email preferences; mailing address and phone number if the mosque records them; and their gifts, funds, and receipts.
- About payments: amount, date, payment method (such as card or bank transfer), and Stripe’s reference for the payment. Never card or bank account numbers.
- About mosque team members: name, email address, role, and a record of the changes they make (the audit log).
Cookies in the service
The MasjidHQ app uses cookies only to keep team members signed in. Donors pay on Stripe’s payment page, which Stripe’s privacy policy covers.
Emails we send
We send receipts, year-end statements, and sign-in emails on each mosque’s behalf. Our emails have no open or click tracking, and MasjidHQ never sends its own marketing to donors.
Service providers
We use these providers to run MasjidHQ. Each one handles data only to provide its service to us.
| Provider | What it does | Data it handles |
|---|---|---|
| Stripe | Processes payments on each mosque’s own Stripe account | Payment details, and the donor’s name and email address |
| Supabase | Database, sign-in, and file storage | Everything stored in the service |
| Vercel | Hosts this website and the MasjidHQ app | Technical data such as IP addresses, and data passing through the app |
| Resend | Sends receipts, statements, and sign-in emails | Recipients’ email addresses and the emails’ contents |
| Cloudflare | Runs our domain name and forwards email sent to our addresses | Emails sent to @masjidhq.net addresses |
Legal requests
If a government agency or anyone else asks us for personal information, we require valid legal process, such as a subpoena or court order. We tell the mosque concerned unless the law forbids it.
How long we keep data
We keep a mosque’s data while it uses MasjidHQ. When a mosque asks us to delete its data, we delete it from the service and confirm in writing. Copies in our backups expire on their regular schedule.
Before asking us to delete its data, a mosque should export the records it needs to keep.
Your choices
If you’re a donor, the mosque you gave to controls your information. To see, correct, or delete it, or to change which emails you receive, contact the mosque. If you can’t reach the mosque, email hello@masjidhq.net and we’ll help.
If you’re on a mosque’s team, ask your mosque’s owner in MasjidHQ, or email us.
Security
We protect data with encryption, secure sign-in, and role-based access. Read more about security and privacy at MasjidHQ.
Children
This website and MasjidHQ are not directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we update the date at the top. If a change affects how we handle a mosque’s data, we email the mosque’s owner before it takes effect.
